It was on 14th May 2023, the powerful Morcha Cyclone destroyed many houses and entire beautiful towns and places and cut off the electricity, disconnected the telephone operators. The people had to pass the gloomy nights and days. Some families (100) peoples came for refuge in our convent and stayed for a week. People felt that they were safe in the convent. “Yes” we really thank GOD for the safety and for not having much damage while other houses were destroyed. We believe that Euphrasie is protecting us and interceding for us to be safe.

The people from this town and all other villages were homeless and facing with many difficulties especially poor people are struggling for their daily food and shelter. By the grace of God, some different NGO’s and Karuna – KMSS (Pyay) Myanmar are still responding to the needy people and Sr. Jennifer (RGS) also helped the people from the affected area.
